The price of food and drinks increases with the altitude but they are affordable. A bottle of mineral water costs $1 to $4, warm tea and coffee costs $2 to $4, a beer bottle costs $5 to $10, a typical breakfast cost $3 to $6, and dinner and lunch costs $5 to $9 per meal.

Trekking Permit and TIMS Card Fees

If you are trekking alone, currently you do not require a Trekker’s Information Management System (TIMS) card. And if your trek is arranged by a local trekking agency then it is recommended that you carry a TIMS card which is blue in color and
it costs $10 per person.
