From here, you slowly start to ascend towards Namche Bazaar (3340m), a place with a history of trading. Along with Namche, you have entered Sagarmatha National Park, which is a natural world heritage site. You might come across the tranquil Doodhkoshi that flows through it on your way to Tengboche Monastery (3860m) where you can pray with the monks. Your trail leads you towards Dingboche (4410m)and Lobuche (4940m), where you can watch the breathtaking towering mountains almost touching the sky. Gorakshep (5164m) is the last stop before you get to the base camp. You trek to the base camp (5364m), return back to Goorakshep, climb the Kalapatthar (5644m) then descend towards Lukla via Pheriche (4371m). If you wish to, you can also take the same trail back that you took while climbing up. Whatever trail you take, you will encounter some hurdles on your way to the Everest Base Camp. ATMs might not work, so always carry cash. Altitude sickness and many other health issues might arise due to improper or hastened acclimatization which could spoil the fun of this trip.
